You’ve gone solar, Now what?

Try composting! Just as your rooftop solar cuts greenhouse gas emissions, so does composting your food scraps. When organic (once living) material gets thrown in a landfill, it decomposes without oxygen releasing the greenhouse gases methane and carbon dioxide. Composting prevents these emissions and creates a nutritious soil amendment. 

Backyard Composting: This is a great option for those with backyard space. Buy or build your own bin and start composting with your fruit and vegetable scraps, coffee grounds, and yard waste. Learn more here.
